VIOLETTE, VIOLETTE

Conceived and performed by Anne DeAcetis

Directed by Anton Ray

In life, French author Violette Leduc was an expressive, eccentric and gifted contemporary of literary giants like Sartre, Camus and Genet. In death, she haunts American writer/performer Anne DeAcetis. Fascinated by Leduc's forgotten story, DeAcetis struggles to understand and explain Violette's
violent passions...and her own.

VIOLETTE, VIOLETTE was most recently performed at a special fundraising event for the 2013 Chekhov International Theatre Festival on Thursday, June 20, 2013.

VIOLETTE, VIOLETTE is a sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts; donations made through affiliated non-profit fundraising site Artspire.org are tax-deductible. RUN TIME: 45 minutes.
